Hello, my name is Mike Caltzontzint and I am a licensed board certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. My interest in mental health began after serving 5 years in the United States Marine Corps from 2004-2009. I began to understand the stigma surrounding mental health and its impact on military veterans as well as many Americans in the general population. This led me to pursue a career in nursing. I graduated from The University of Texas in Austin with my bachelors degree and later returned to complete my masters degree at UT Health Science Center in Houston.
As a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner I am trained and qualified to diagnose and treat various psychiatric disorders to patients across the life span. In addition, my personal military experience has contributed to a special interest in treating military veterans with PTSD
